Art has always been a part of my life in one way or another. First as a kid drawing copies and copies of my favorite anime characters, then through college as a cinematographer on film sets. Photography stuck because it engages me with the exact moments people feel most connected, and most in love.
I'm based between Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego, but the work has taken me as far as Hawaii, Lake Tahoe, and even a resort in Cabo. I work in mostly natural light, though I'm not afraid of something more dramatic when the moment asks for it. I edit warmly. I stay out of your way until I shouldn't.
I love the medium for its ability to remind people of love sometimes forgotten. The look in someone's eyes when they know they've found the one. The face of a loved one long passed. The ring bearer pup who can't make it down the aisle without saying hello to everyone along the way.
Outside of work, you'll find me with an instrument, kickboxing, or up to no good with my friends. Ostriches are my favorite animal. Always too anxious to be late.

I think the best photographs of you are the ones where you've almost forgotten there's a camera. Where you're laughing at something your partner said three sentences ago. Where the wind is doing the styling.
My job is to be quiet enough for that to happen, and ready enough to catch it when it does.
Soft. Warm. Intimate. That's the whole thing.
